Terms of Use
Last updated 21 April 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Voxnotes mobile application (“Voxnotes” or “the App”) and the website at voxnotes.one. The App and the website are operated by IntegrIT Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”), a sole proprietorship based in Germany. Full operator details are in the Imprint.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not install or use the App.
1. The service
Voxnotes is an iPhone application that converts your text — notes, articles, documents — into spoken audio using on-device neural speech synthesis. Every voice runs on your iPhone. Optional iCloud sync is performed through your own Apple iCloud account.
A free tier is available. A paid tier (“Premium”) and a one-time perpetual licence (“Lifetime”) unlock additional voices and features.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country for an Apple ID) to use the App. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Your licence to use the App
We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to install and use the App on iPhone devices that you own or control, in line with Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (EULA), which forms part of these Terms. Where these Terms and Apple’s standard EULA conflict, these Terms apply to the extent permitted by law.
You may not reverse-engineer the App, redistribute it, sublicense it, or use it to build a competing product, except as expressly permitted by mandatory applicable law.
4. Your content
The notes, text, audio renderings and any other material you import or create in Voxnotes (“Your Content”) remain yours. We do not claim a licence to Your Content. We do not transmit, store or process Your Content on our servers — every operation runs on your device, and any synchronisation flows through your own Apple iCloud account.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to import any third-party material into the App.
5. Subscriptions and one-time purchases
5.1 Apple is the merchant of record
All purchases — Premium subscriptions and the Lifetime licence — are processed by Apple Inc. through your Apple ID and the App Store. Apple is the merchant of record. We never see your payment method, billing address, or any other transaction detail Apple does not voluntarily share with us in anonymised aggregate sales reports.
5.2 Auto-renewing subscriptions (Premium monthly / annual)
The Premium tier is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly ($9.99 / month) or annually ($79.99 / year). Local-currency equivalents apply in your App Store region.
By purchasing a subscription you agree that:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price of the active plan.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time by going to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or in the App Store account settings on Mac. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; partial-period refunds are not provided automatically.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable by law.
Subscription length, price, and renewal frequency are confirmed in the App Store purchase sheet immediately before you complete the purchase.
5.3 Lifetime licence
The Lifetime tier is a one-time purchase of $199 that grants perpetual access to current and future Premium features for as long as the App and the underlying platforms remain operable. It is not a subscription and does not auto-renew.
Technically, the Lifetime tier is a non-consumable In-App Purchase in Apple’s terms. It is permanently associated with the Apple ID used at the time of purchase and can be restored, free of charge, on any device signed in to the same Apple ID via the App Store’s standard “Restore Purchases” mechanism. The licence is non-transferable between Apple IDs.
We cannot guarantee continued operation of the App, the App Store, the iOS platform, or any third-party service the App relies on. “Lifetime” therefore refers to the duration of the App’s continued availability on the App Store, not an indefinite warranty of service.
5.4 Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases — subscriptions and one-time purchases — are handled exclusively by Apple under Apple’s refund policy. We are not able to issue refunds directly. If you believe a charge was made in error, please use Apple’s “Report a Problem” page or contact Apple Support.
6. Right of withdrawal — consumers in the EU / Germany
You are a “consumer” under EU law if you act outside your trade, business or profession.
6.1 Apple App Store purchases
For purchases made through the App Store, the contractual counterparty for the transaction is Apple Distribution International Ltd. (in the EU). Apple’s terms of service govern the formation, execution, and any withdrawal rights connected to the purchase. Please refer to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions for the applicable rules.
6.2 Statutory right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)
Where you are an EU consumer entering into a distance contract for digital content with us directly (i.e. not through the App Store), you have a statutory right of withdrawal of fourteen (14) days under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and § 355 of the German Civil Code (BGB).
To exercise this right you must inform us of your decision to withdraw with an unambiguous statement (for example, an e‑mail to info@integritsol.de) before the 14‑day period expires.
6.3 Loss of the withdrawal right for digital content (§ 356 (5) BGB)
For contracts covering the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium — which includes premium voices and other on-device features unlocked through Voxnotes — the right of withdrawal expires when:
- you have expressly consented that performance shall begin before the end of the withdrawal period, and
- you have expressly acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, and
- we (or Apple, where Apple is the merchant of record) have begun performance.
Premium voices unlock and become usable on your device immediately at confirmation of purchase. By tapping “Subscribe” or “Buy” in the App Store purchase sheet, you provide the express consent and acknowledgment described above and accept that your statutory right of withdrawal expires upon delivery.
7. Free tier
The free tier is provided “as is” and may be changed, limited, or discontinued at any time. We don’t promise indefinite availability of any particular feature on the free tier.
8. Privacy
We don’t operate any servers and we don’t collect personal data in the ordinary course of providing the App. Where data does flow — opt-in crash diagnostics via Sentry, or optional iCloud sync through your own Apple account — it is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to:
- violate any applicable law;
- infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party;
- transmit or process unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or harmful content; or
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system on which the App relies.
10. Intellectual property
Voxnotes, including its source code, design, the brand mark, the four palettes, and all related materials, is the intellectual property of IntegrIT Solutions and its licensors. Third-party trademarks shown on the marketing site (Apple Notes, Safari, Apple Books, Apple Photos, Apple Mail, Notion, Obsidian, Craft, Google Docs, the Markdown mark) belong to their respective owners and are used solely to indicate compatibility.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and the website are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the audio rendering will exactly match every input. Statutory warranty rights of consumers under EU and German law are not affected by this provision.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are liable without limitation for damages caused by intent or gross negligence and for damages arising from injury to life, body, or health.
- For damages caused by simple negligence resulting from the breach of an essential contractual duty (a duty whose fulfilment is a prerequisite for proper performance and on which you may regularly rely), our liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
- Liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remains unaffected.
- All other liability is excluded.
Where you are an EU consumer, this clause does not exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory consumer protection law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in law, in our service, or in the third-party platforms we depend on. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, give you reasonable notice in the App. Continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
If you are a consumer with habitual residence in the EU, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory rules of the law of your country of residence (Art. 6(2) Rome I Regulation).
The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract with merchants, legal persons under public law, or special funds under public law is the registered seat of IntegrIT Solutions in Germany. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their habitual residence under the applicable consumer-protection rules.
15. EU online dispute resolution
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
